Man Accused of Murder at Dallas DART Station Brandished Knife on Bus Hours Before Stabbing, Police Say

Just hours before he is accused of fatally stabbing another man at a downtown Dallas DART station, a man brandished a knife during an altercation on a bus, police say.LaDavis Hamilton, 31, who is also named in court records as LaDarius Hamilton, was arrested the morning of June 26, shortly after the stabbing.About 10:45 p.m. the previous day, DART officers were called to the corner of Commerce and South Harwood streets downtown after a report of a threat being made on a Route 164 bus.According to an arrest-warrant affidavit, an off-duty DART security guard told officers he'd been waiting for a bus and that when the 164 bus arrived, its driver told him she needed help with an unruly passenger.The guard said he told the man to get off the bus, which the man declined to do.
