Lowe's Picks Charlotte After Dangling Potential of 2,000 New Tech Jobs in Dallas

Lowe's has picked a growing neighborhood of Charlotte as the location of its future tech center where it plans to hire up to 2,000 new employees, the company said on Thursday. The No. 2 home improvement retailer in May said it was considering Dallas and Charlotte for the new facility.The Dallas Regional Chamber had said it worked closely with the Lowe's project team. It was a sought after project with the potential for high paying jobs. The company said it plans to build a 23-story building to house software engineers, product managers, architects, infrastructure engineers, data scientists and analysts over the next several years.  Continue reading...
