Lorimer Arendse, Grand Prairie High School Principal, Dies at 45

Friends, colleagues and students will say goodbye Wednesday to Lorimer Arendse, who as a child hated school but went on to become a career educator.Arendse, 45, principal of Grand Prairie High School since 2014, learned in late June that he had stage IV lung cancer. He died Friday in Grapevine.Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Gateway Church, 2404 N. Carrier Pkwy., in Grand Prairie. A private graveside service will follow.  Continue reading...
