Lockheed Martin's Grand Prairie Division Lands $562 Million Missile Contract

Lockheed Martin’s Grand Prairie division just landed a $562 million federal contract to design and engineer tactical missiles for Bahrain, Poland and Romania.The company’s missiles and fire control unit has landed a number of major contracts in recent months. In March, it won a $1.13 billion contract to provide guided rockets to the same three countries.The missile division added 800 people in 2018 to meet increased weaponry demand from foreign governments. Its revenue jumped 16% to $8.5 billion the same year.The devices, known as Army Tactical Missile System missiles, are launched from the ground and strike land or sea targets.
