Like Big Data? Toyota's Tech ‘startup' Is Hiring in Plano

A year after its launch, Toyota’s data science “startup” -- based close to, but not actually at the company’s new North American headquarters in Plano -- is expanding its office and plans to double its headcount, the company announced this week.Toyota Connected plans to add about 145 employees to its current staff of 55, Hicks said, to fill 200 total jobs. Initially, the company said it would have 100 workers.It also plans to add an extra 13,500 square feet to its existing 20,000 square foot leased office.“We’re growing faster than we had planned,” said Zack Hicks, president and CEO of Toyota Connected, in a statement. “It’s amazing the demand we’re getting, the opportunities to leverage this data.”  Continue reading...
