Let's Focus on Solutions, Not Villains, in Dallas County Schools Crossing Guard Problem

The task of dismantling the disgraced Dallas County Schools while maintaining the programs it provides is proving to be more than a Herculean chore. It's testing the adage that it's easier to blow something up than to build. On top of all of its other woes, the agency charged with transporting thousands of children to and from school each day can't afford school crossing guards for the rest of the school year. The onus now falls on the city of Dallas, which, despite its kicking and screaming, is required by law to provide the service.   Continue reading...
