Lantana Golf Club in Denton County Changes Hands

A Denton County country club has been purchased by a Dallas golf course firm. The Lantana Golf Club which is located in the Lantana community development south of Denton was purchased by Arcis Golf. The Lantana club was acquired from Austin-based Dominion Golf Group along with four other Texas golf courses.Arcis Golf owns 18 clubs in Texas and is bills itself as the second-largest owner and operator of golf facilities in the country. "Lantana Golf Club, the centerpiece of a master-planned community and designed by the renowned team of Jay and Carter Moorish, is highly regarded among the most prestigious clubs and best golf courses in the Dallas Fort Worth area," Arcis Golf said in a statement. "Dramatic use of bunkers, mounds, and grass swales along with water and woods provide a well-rounded golf experience." Arcis' purchase also includes three golf clubs in the Austin area and one in San Antonio. Arcis already operates North Texas courses in Allen, Frisco, Grapevine and Euless."The addition of Dominion's distinctive and well-respected portfolio of private clubs aligns well with our strategy of owning and operating the preeminent properties within each of our respective hub or expansion markets," Blake Walker, Founder and CEO of Arcis Golf, said in a statement.
