A Dallas woman was killed late Thursday in a crash on Interstate 20 in Grand Prairie.The accident was reported about 10:30 p.m. on the eastbound highway near Carrier Parkway, police said.Authorities say the victim, 63-year-old Myrtle Jones, had to swerve to avoid Chevy Malibu whose driver made a sudden lane change. Both Jones' Chevy Trailblazer and the Malibu careered onto the shoulder and slammed into the guardrail. The Trailblazer rolled down a hill, and Jones was thrown from the vehicle.She was rushed to Medical City Arlington but died from her injuries.The other driver, a 21-year-old man, was treated and released from Medical City.The crash remains under investigation.
