Lake Highlands Man Shoots Intruder Who Kicked in His Front Door

A Lake Highlands man shot someone who broke into his home early Monday, Dallas police say.The man, who lives in the 9500 block of Moss Farm Lane, near Royal Lane and Abrams Road, was awoken just before 5 a.m. by a man ringing his doorbell and knocking on the door. The resident told the man to leave.A short time later, the man came back and kicked in the door. The resident shot the intruder, who ran off.Authorities later found the man, whose name has not been released, and took him to a hospital for treatment.The resident was unharmed.  Continue reading...
