Kittens and Yoga – the Purrrfect Match?

June is Adopt a Shelter Cat month and Grand Prairie Animal Shelter is full of kittens. Currently, the shelter has over 200 cats and kittens in need of homes.The shelter is using a unique method of bringing attention to the need for forever homes by holding a Kittens Yoga class at the Attiva Central Park Active Adult community in Grand Prairie. Twelve kittens were brought in during the weekly yoga class held for residents and let loose to play and roam as participants posed and stretched. The opportunity also served as a way for the kittens to gain social skills by interacting with members of the yoga class.
