A North Texas police department is facing backlash after adding “In God We Trust” decals to the back of its squad cars.The decals were unanimously approved by the Kaufman City Council on Monday, WFAA-TV (Channel 8) reports.A post on the police department's Facebook page announcing the vote drew so much criticism that it was removed. “It simply got to be too much, with people making threats to each other, saying vulgar things, and posting sick comments,” the department said in a follow-up post, noting that most of the conflict came from nonresidents.
