Kaufman ISD had to cancel classes Tuesday after a broken water main left several campuses dry.The 12-inch pipe burst about 9 p.m. in the 800 block of Fair Street, and city officials urged residents to conserve water while repairs are made."Minimal services are being provided to the local hospital," the city said in a written statement. "The city hopes to have full services restored by mid-morning."Schools across the district had to cancel classes for the day but promised to resume semester-ending exams as scheduled Wednesday.
