AUSTIN — The judge presiding over Attorney General Ken Paxton's criminal case has decided to remain on the job despite Paxton's requests he be removed.Judge George Gallagher will not step down, court clerk Tommie LaRue confirmed to The Dallas Morning News early Monday. Paxton requested Gallagher be replaced on the case just after the judge decided his upcoming trials should be moved from Collin to Harris County."The Judge will remain on the Paxton case," LaRue said in an email.
