Judge Declares Mistrial for Murder Suspect Who Says Victim Told Him to ‘shoot Me in the Head'

A 26-year-old man accused of murder told police he shot his friend in the head over a forced sexual relationship. Jacob Nathan Ross is charged with murder in the January 2016 slaying of 55-year-old Michael Gyger at Gyger's upscale apartment in downtown Carrollton. Ross was on trial this week, but State District Judge Brandon Birmingham declared a mistrial after an investigator let slip during testimony that Ross may have had a criminal past.  Continue reading...
