John Wiley Price, Facing the Trial of His Life, Looks Back on His Roots

John Wiley Price isn't worried. He's doing what he's always done. Still wearing the colorful suits, the custom-made bow ties, the sparkling silver watches and cuff links. Still giving fiery speeches at funerals and retirement parties and politicians' swearing-in ceremonies. Stepping into his black 1972 Monte Carlo -- with chrome wheels and an OUR MAN bumper sticker -- Price drives reclined in his leather seat, legs stretched out, cracking jokes and ordering around important people with the speakerphone on full blast.
