WASHINGTON -- Never say never. That's Joe Biden's motto. Donald Trump hasn't even taken office yet, and already the vice president is ready to dive in to the 2020 presidential campaign. "I'm going to run in 2020. For president," a grinning Biden said Monday. He then backed off a bit. "I'm not committing not to run. I'm not committing to anything. I learned a long time ago, fate has a strange way of intervening."Biden, 74, gave serious consideration to entering this year's presidential contest, but ultimately decided the timing was not right after the death of his oldest son, Beau, to brain cancer. "The [grief] process doesn't respect or much care about things like filing deadlines or debates and primaries and caucuses," he said last year as he announced he would not run, saying he didn't have enough time to mount a winning campaign.
