Jalapeno-flavored Lay's, Miss Vickie's Chips Recalled Over Salmonella Fears

Frito-Lay has announced a voluntary recall of several flavors of Lay's and Miss Vickie's potato chips over possible salmonella contamination. The recall, issued Friday, affects chips with a seasoning blend that includes jalapeno powder that could contain salmonella, according to the Food and Drug Administration.No illnesses have been confirmed. The products recalled are as follows:All sizes of Jalapeño Flavored Lay's Kettle Cooked potato chips and Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie's Kettle Cooked potato chips with a "guaranteed fresh" date of July 4 or earlier printed on the front upper panel of the packageAll of the following multipack offerings that have a "use by" date of June 20 or earlier printed on the package.
