J.C. Penney's New CEO Jill Soltau Starts Naming Her Team and Lists Openings

Penney's new chief executive officer Jill Soltau has started putting her team together and announced a list of positions she wants to fill.Mike Robbins, who came to Penney from Target in 2015, has been named chief stores and supply chain officer.Truett Horne comes to Penney from consultancy McKinsey & Co. to be chief transformation officer.While making the two appointments, Soltau also listed key senior management positions that the Plano-based company plans to fill.Penney is searching for these key leadership positions:Chief merchantChief customer service officerSenior vice president of planning and allocationPrincipal accounting officerChief financial officerThese executive changes will help the company "drive change aligned with our customer's needs and expectations," Soltau said in a statement. "By appointing and recruiting the right leaders who have the expertise and fortitude to accelerate a turnaround strategy, our senior executive team will plan in instrumental role in energizing teams, connecting with our customers and positioning J.C.
