‘It Gives Me Goosebumps,' Nonprofit Workers Say of Harvey Donations That Came by the Carload

Rainy weather couldn’t put a damper on the generosity of North Texans looking to help Hurricane Harvey victims.By the dozens, people from all over the North Texas area, from Dallas to Double Oak in Denton County, brought loads of clothes, stockpiles of canned goods and toiletries to donate at a central site in Far North Dallas.By 11 a.m. Sunday, Michael Garrett, founder of the Allen-based nonprofit Trusted World, had plenty of donations from those motivated to do good.  Continue reading...
