Is Dallas Cowboys' Star Project in Frisco Set to Score With Another Office High-rise?

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has won the real estate Super Bowl with his Frisco mixed-use project.The $1.5 billion Star development on the Dallas North Tollway is the Dallas Cowboys' headquarters and practice facility. The 91-acre project also has a 16-story Omni Hotel, retail and restaurant space, and the Baylor Scott & White Sports Therapy & Research Center.But the most valuable player at The Star may be the office project.The 400,000-square-foot office building on Warren Parkway has attracted a prime roster of tenants, including Bank of America, PlainsCapital Bank, RBC Wealth Management and FM Global. Just this week, commercial property firm ESRP announced that it's moving to The Star offices, too, with a view of the Cowboys' practice field. All that leasing activity has filled up most of The Star's office space. So it's no wonder that real estate brokers say Jones is drawing up plans for a second office tower on the tollway.Jones' Blue Star Land real estate company has filed plans with the city of Frisco for three more office buildings ranging from seven to 12 stories tall.  Continue reading...
