Irving Police Investigating Death of Infant Found in Trash Bin

The Irving Police Department is investigating the death of an infant found in a trash bin in the 200 block of Chamberlain Street on Dec. 30.A resident called police around 3:30 p.m. that day after finding a deceased newborn in a bin outside the Senter East recreation center. Medical tests indicate the baby was born alive, police said.One possible suspect was identified early in the investigation, but DNA test results indicated she wasn't the baby's mother, police said.
