Irving Mother Charged With Capital Murder in 8-year-old Son's Slaying

An Irving mother was jailed Sunday, accused of slaying her 8-year-old son.Tisha Sanchez, 30, was charged with capital murder.Police say a person was reported unconscious at her home on Peach Tree Lane, near Finley Road and Country Club Road, shortly before 7:30 a.m. Sunday.When they arrived, they found her 8-year-old son dead, police said. His name has not yet been released.Officials say they haven't determined a motive for the slaying.Sanchez remained in the Irving jail Monday afternoon with bail set at $2 million. In addition to the capital murder charge, jail records show the Dallas County Sheriff's Department has charged her with assault of a peace officer and resisting arrest.  Continue reading...
