In the Race for HQ2, Dallas' and Austin's Personalities Are on Parade

It's typically Texan to forget that there are places on the map — you know, around the edges and corners — that are not Texas. So, a quick review: 90 percent of the cities on Amazon's HQ2 shortlist are outside the Lone Star State. We have to politely stipulate that the biggest, shiniest, highest-karat egg an American corporate goose will deposit in the nest this year could go to Miami or Los Angeles, or to some dark-horse contender like Indianapolis or Pittsburgh.
