Hunt County DA Struck Elderly Crossing Guard Who Later Died, Authorities Say

The Hunt County district attorney struck a beloved elderly crossing guard in Greenville last month who died several weeks later, authorities said Monday.Noble D. Walker, Jr. was driving north on Stonewall Street in front of Bowie Elementary School about 7 a.m. March 29 when he crashed into the guard, who was in the crosswalk, according to a Texas Department of Transportation report obtained by The Herald-Banner.
