Hundreds of North Texas Young People Net Job Offers From Youth-focused Fair

Roughly 700 North Texas teens and twenty-somethings will need less money from mom in the coming weeks after being offered jobs on the spot at a recent youth-focused jobs fair, organizers of the event said WednesdaySome of the region's largest employers, including Plano-based Pizza Hut and J.C. Penney, participated in Friday's jobs fair, which was part of the 100,000 Opportunities Initiative. Described as the nation's largest employer-led coalition "committed to creating pathways to employment for young people," the program, launched in 2015 with the goal of hiring 100,000 youth.
