Hundreds Line Up to Get Supplies at a Pearland Walmart

PEARLAND — A line of hundreds of residents affected by Harvey's historic floods nearly wrapped around the corner of a Walmart on Wednesday morning, full of people anxious to buy food and supplies to keep them going through the next couple of days. When the Walmart opened at 10 a.m., the line to get in was about 200 people long. The store let in the first 50 people and began to let in more as the first shoppers came out. It limited purchases of milk, bread, water and eggs to two packs per customer and was accepting only debit and credit payments.   Continue reading...
