Huge ‘five-star Hotel' Home Near Fort Worth Heads for Auction Block in September

One of the largest residential properties to come onto the Parker County market in years will be auctioned off to the highest bidder next month.The 19,265 square-foot abode at 107 Nueces Trail in Aledo, southwest of Fort Worth, is on 113.8 acres assembled largely by Mercer Real Estate Investment. Philanthropist George Mercer died earlier this year following a bout with cancer, according to published reports.Numerous websites list Mercer as the agent of Mercer Real Estate."It's the biggest residential estate in Parker County that I can remember in the last 25 years," said John Zimmerman, the listing agent with Briggs Freeman Sotheby's International Realty. "It's like a five-star hotel. It's like you're going to the JW Marriott in San Antonio."The home is "one of the most prime development areas in the Metroplex," he said.  Continue reading...
