How Affirmative Action Benefits White Students

Even though affirmative action isn't perfect, it has propelled the advancement of minorities while simultaneously creating benefits for white students.It's important to consider all the reasons students are selected to be a part of incoming classes at certain universities. Their value goes far beyond their scores on a couple of standardized tests. It's also a matter of what else they can bring to the table.Each student brings a new perspective on American culture that's beneficial and enriching to other students and staff — a thought, an idea or an experience their classmates and teachers have yet to encounter.
