Houston Driver With Blood-alcohol Level Four Times the Legal Limit Kills Woman in Crash

A Houston man faces a murder charge after running a red light Saturday morning and slamming into another car, killing the passenger, the Houston Chronicle reported.The suspect ran a red light on the Eastex Freeway service road and slammed into an SUV at about 2 a.m. Saturday, police told the newspaper. The female passenger died at the scene; the male driver was taken to a hospital in serious condition.The unnamed suspect, whose blood-alcohol level was four times the legal limit, had two prior felony drunken-driving convictions, the Chronicle reported.  Continue reading...
