House Fails to Override Trump's National Emergency Veto, Clearing Major Border Wall Obstacle

WASHINGTON -- The House on Tuesday failed to override President Donald Trump's veto of a resolution that would block his border emergency declaration, clearing one major obstacle in the Republican's quest for a wall at the U.S.-Mexico line.Every Democrat in the House was joined by 14 Republicans in rebuking Trump, but those 248 votes were well short of the two-thirds majority needed to overturn the president's veto.San Antonio Rep.
