Horse Killed by Passing Vehicle After Getting Loose Along I-20 in Southeast Oak Cliff

A horse that got loose on the Interstate 20 service road in southeast Oak Cliff had to be put down Friday morning after it was struck by a passing vehicle.A driver called 911 around 12:15 a.m. to report the incident, which occurred near the J.J. Lemmon Road exit to get on the eastbound interstate, officials with the Dallas Sheriff's Office said.A veterinarian was called to the scene, but the horse's injuries were too severe for it to be saved.It is unclear how the horse wound up on the highway.  Continue reading...
