Homeowner Shoots 2 Burglary Suspects Near Southeast Dallas; 1 Fled the Scene

A homeowner shot two burglary suspects overnight near southeast Dallas. Officers responded to the 14600 block of Lasater Road, near Interstate 20 and east of Interstate 635, about 4 a.m. Friday.After being shot, one injured suspect fled the scene before police arrived. The other suspect was transported to a hospital. Their condition is not known.Authorities are interviewing the homeowner, who was not harmed. The crime scene unit, K-9 unit and the police helicopter assisted in searching for the suspect who remains at large.  Continue reading...
