Hit-and-run in Haltom City Leaves Cyclist With Internal Injuries, Broken Bones

A bicyclist suffered serious injuries Wednesday after being struck by a car that did not stop, Haltom City police said. Officers found the cyclist about 9:45 p.m. March 7 in the northbound right lane of the 2100 block of North Beach Street. The victim was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital with several broken bones and internal injuries, police said. There were no witnesses to the crash, but debris left at the scene by the passing car identified it as a 2010 to 2012 silver Ford Fusion, police said.
