We'd be the first to say that the pay for effective classroom teachers across Texas isn't equal to the value of their work for stellar student performance.It's the reason we appreciate the good intentions behind the Texas Senate Committee on Finance's unanimous approval of a bill that would give every classroom teacher a $5,000 raise beginning next year.
