Heat, Humidity Set to Return to Dallas-Fort Worth This Weekend

After a pleasant week with below-average temperatures and low humidity levels, Dallas-Fort Worth’s break from the typical summer heat is about to end.High temperatures are expected to rise into the mid-90s over the weekend, and by next week, they’re expected to reach the upper-90s, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5) meteorologist Grant Johnston. “By Sunday, you’ll notice the mugginess increasing, and certainly into Monday and Tuesday,” Johnston said. With conditions favorable for high levels of ozone, the Texas Commission for Environmental Quality issued an ozone action day Friday for North Texas, including Dallas, Denton, Collin and Tarrant counties.   Continue reading...
