‘Have You No Sense of Decency Left?' Dallas ISD Trustee Asks State Leaders at Bathroom-bill Protest

Dallas Independent School District trustee Miguel Solis and teacher Johnny Boucher fear that if the Texas Legislature passes a proposed "bathroom bill," they will be unable to do their main job: protect children. Solis, Boucher and about two dozen other people — some wearing the transgender pride colors of blue and pink — gathered outside DISD headquarters Wednesday morning to express their opposition to the legislation that will be discussed in the upcoming special legislative session."They say the intent is not to discriminate, but that is what it accomplishes," said Boucher, a transgender man.  Continue reading...
