Guard Dog Stolen From Often-robbed Fort Worth Tire Shop

A guard dog at a Fort Worth tire shop did little to deter overnight thieves; they simply stole the dog, too. Owner Nayer Younis said thieves have hit his shop five times, despite his security measures, which also included adding barbed wire. The dog was taken two weeks ago. “It makes me sick, but life goes on," Younis said. "I have two dogs now so I hope they do [help]."Since December, Goody’s Cars and Tires, in the 3100 block of North Beach Street in northeast Fort Worth, has been burglarized three times and vehicles have been stolen from the property. Younis said he has captured all the incidents on surveillance camera. No arrests have been made. He said the security tapes show two large men. In February, they used bolt cutters to get through the front gate and grabbed a battery and put it in a truck that didn’t have one, he said.
