Grand Prairie Special-ed Teacher Accused of Improper Relationship With Student

A special-education teacher at an all-boys school in Grand Prairie has been accused of having an improper relationship with a student.Rebecca Goerdel, 28, was arrested Friday, Grand Prairie ISD said. She was removed from the campus as the Young Men's Leadership Academy at Kennedy Middle School after the allegations came to light on March 10, the district said.According to the district's statement, administrators were given "information indicating potential impropriety" and then notified police."This kind of conduct is outrageous and will not be tolerated," the district's superintendent, Susan Hull, said.  Continue reading...
