Grand Prairie Police Arrest 21-year-old Robbery Suspect After Chase

Grand Prairie police arrested a man suspected of robbery after a short chase Sunday morning.Police said 21-year-old Tahj Pinson pulled out a gun and demanded money from a person outside the PLS Checking in the 2500 block of South Carrier Parkway around 9:40 a.m. Pinson then fired a single shot and sped off when the person said they didn't have any money and walked away, police said.The victim was able to provide police with information about the robber's vehicle, and officers located Pinson outside a PLS Checking in Dallas.When the officers attempted a traffic stop on the vehicle, which had been reported stolen, Pinson led them on a brief chase during which he threw an object out the window, police said. Authorities later recovered a .40-caliber handgun that they believe was used during the robbery attempt.Pinson was charged with aggravated robbery, evading in a vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
