The first day of winter was Wednesday, but it didn't feel like it. The high temperature at DFW International Airport was 66 — 10 degrees above the average for the day. After a chilly weekend with temperatures swinging into the teens, Dallas-Fort Worth is likely to go the rest of the year without freezing again, KXAS-TV (NBC5) meteorologist Rick Mitchell said. A small cold front is expected to drop Thursday's and Friday's highs into the mid-50s, with a 30 percent chance of rain Saturday. It'll be far from a white Christmas.
