George H.W. Bush Released From Hospital After 2-week Stay for Pneumonia

Former President George H.W. Bush was released from a Houston hospital on Monday after receiving treatment for pneumonia."He is thankful for the many prayers and kind messages he received during his stay, as well as the world-class care that both his doctors and nurses provided," his spokesman, Jim McGrath, said in a statement.The 92-year-old was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Jan. 14 because he was having difficulty breathing, and he spent more than a week in the intensive care unit.Former first lady Barbara Bush, 91, was admitted to the hospital Jan. 18 because of bronchitis.
