WASHINGTON - Former Texas A&M president Elsa Murano meets on Wednesday with President-elect Donald Trump, stirring chatter that yet another Texan could join the next administration's cabinet. A Trump transition spokesman confirmed that Murano is visiting the billionaire at his tony Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida to "likely" talk about the position of agriculture secretary. The meeting - announced last week - could signal that the 57-year-old has an edge on the other Texans rumored to be up for the job. That group includes Texas agriculture commissioner Sid Miller and Susan Combs, a previous holder of that statewide office. Though Combs has met with Vice President-elect Mike Pence, it appears that neither she nor Miller have met with Trump.
