Frisco Project Under Way for Connecticut Lighting Firm HQ

A Boston developer has teamed up with Dallas' Stream Realty Partners to break ground on a new Frisco industrial project.The 160,000-square-foot building will be in Frisco Park 25, a new business park being built by the City of Frisco in partnership with developers.Cabot Properties and Stream Realty are building the warehouse and office development.PowerSecure Lighting - a lighting products firm - has leased the space in the project located on Preston Road. PowerSecure is moving its headquarters from Connecticut to the new building.The company will take 75,000 square feet in the project."We are pleased to have an innovative technology and manufacturing company like PowerSecure Lighting as our lead tenant in the development," Bob Hagewood, senior vice president of Stream Realty Partners, said in a statement. "Frisco Park 25 is a great fit for PowerSecure Lighting's plan to combine its lighting division headquarters with distribution space for growing its business."Cabot bought about 10 acres in the Park 25 development from the Frisco Economic Development Corp. and plans to have the building ready by midyear.Stream's Cannon Green and Hagewood are handling the project.
"This will be one of the first properties to be developed within Frisco Park 25," said Green.About 40 people will work in the PowerSecure operation when it opens.In 2016, Frisco started the $300 million, 2.2 million-square-foot business park south of U.S. Highway 380 on Preston Road to accommodate about a dozen office, showroom and industrial buildings of various sizes.Information technology firm Skinny IT has announced it will build a 130,000-square-foot facility on 9 acres in Park 25.
