Frisco Man Who Went Missing Last Month Found Dead Near Railroad Tracks

Frisco police said a body found in north Frisco Sunday has been identified as an elderly man who went missing last month.David Spence, 74, was reported missing the night of Feb. 27 after he was seen walking away from his home near Eldorado Parkway and Dallas Parkway, police said.After Spence was reported missing, Frisco police searched the surrounding area with the help of concerned citizens and other nearby agencies. But railroad workers found his body eight days later near railroad tracks about a mile from his home, according to police. He appeared to have a self-inflicted gunshot wound, but authorities said the cause of death is still being investigated. At the time of his disappearance, Spence's family told KXAS-TV (NBC5) that he was a retired police officer and veteran who needed his medication.
