Four Big Moments for Texans Beto O'Rourke and Julián Castro in First Democratic Presidential Debate

WASHINGTON -- Texans Beto O'Rourke and Julián Castro each pushed for a breakout moment Wednesday night in the first Democratic presidential debate, resulting in a pointed fight between the two over a topic in which they both claim expertise: immigration.Castro, the former U.S. housing secretary, provoked the clash, pressing the former El Paso congressman to agree with his plan to decriminalize unauthorized border crossings.He told O'Rourke it was "mistake" to not pursue that course, explaining it was necessary if "you truly want to change the system."
