A former South Hills High School student remained in jail Thursday after a social media account under his name posted threats to the school.Daniel Gomez, 18, remained in the Tarrant County jail Thursday.Students and staff provided information to police, who made an arrest shortly before midnight, according to the school.While officials don't believe the campus is currently under threat, extra police will patrol the school Thursday."Please know that your students safety is our top priority," the school said in a Facebook post. "They did an excellent job last night in quickly reporting things they were seeing and hearing which led to the police being able to identify a suspect and keep us safe."Gomez was arrested on a possession of marijuana charge. he served time for another drug possession conviction in 2018.
