AUSTIN — The Texas Senate on Tuesday is debating the so-called "bathroom bill," a piece of legislation that would restrict the restrooms available for use to transgender men, women and children.Senate Bill 3 would require public school students to use multi-use restrooms that match the sex on their birth certificate and would strike down portions of city laws protecting the rights of transgender people to use the restrooms that match their gender identity.
