‘Flying Blind': Airliner Makes Emergency Landing in Dallas After Cockpit Screens Go Dark

A United Airlines-operated flight made an emergency landing at DFW International Airport on Thursday after two cockpit screens went dark on a trip from Knoxville, Tenn., to Houston.The ExpressJet, operating under a contract with United, reported a flight-deck issue, a company spokesman said, which led to the emergency landing.A video posted by a passenger showed one of the pilots saying two cockpit screens overheated and shut down, according to Knoxville television station WVLT-8.  Continue reading...
