Sign up for our newsletters here.Snowflakes flutter in before Dallas' first freeze of the seasonMany residents spotted snow flurries falling in the area Thursday morning, a few hours before the first freeze of the season is expected.Flakes were spotted in cities including Dallas, Fort Worth Irving, Frisco, Addison and McKinney. But meteorologists say the ground is too warm for any snow to stick.A strong cold front that moved into the area a few days ago will drop top temperatures to the lower 40s Thursday. It's expected to go below freezing and stay there overnight into Friday morning, National Weather Service meteorologist Lee Carlaw said.
