Fluor's Top Executive Is Out and Its Former CEO Becomes Chairman in Another Fortune 500 Shakeup

Irving-based Fluor Corp.'s chairman and chief executive officer David Seaton abruptly resigned effective Wednesday. Seaton worked at the global engineering and construction company for 34 years. The company said his departure includes a transition period "to assist management as requested."Alan Boeckman, who has been on the board since 2012 and preceded Seaton as CEO, becomes chairman. Boeckmann recently rejoined Fluor's board after retiring in 2012. Boeckman, originally joined Fluor in 1974, and became chairman and CEO from 2002 to 2011.Carlos Hernandez becomes interim CEO. Hernandez has been Fluor's chief legal officer since 2007 and was responsible for law, risk and compliance.Seaton led a "significant transformation of the company," Hernandez said.   Continue reading...
